About Vetted
Digital trust infrastructure for Nigeria's informal workforce.
Vetted is designed to replace unverifiable referrals and rumor-driven trust systems with a structured, portable credential workers carry across jobs and employers can verify in seconds.
The problem we're solving
Informal hiring in Lagos often runs on handshakes, forwarded WhatsApp messages, handwritten guarantor letters, and memory. Employers carry anxiety, workers carry no portable proof, and both sides are left exposed when something goes wrong.
What we built
Vetted gives workers a portable trust credential they own and gives employers structured verification, guarantor binding, and a reviewable incident record instead of rumor-driven systems.
How we think about data
The product language centers on data minimization: verify through a licensed provider, retain verification status, and avoid exposing raw identity credentials to employers. Workers should understand what is checked, what is stored, and what rights they retain.
Why bilateral trust matters
Vetted is not meant to be a one-sided surveillance layer. Workers can also report employers, and trust only works when there is due process, evidence, and visibility on both sides.
